Everyone knows that little girls are made from sugar and spice and everything nice. Sugar and spice is not expensive and neither is decorating your little girls’ room. If you are on a budget you can still give her a new look for her room that is full of character and comfort.
Begin by giving her walls a make over with a fresh coat of paint in her favorite color. Pastels such as soft pink and lilac would be great to bring out her sweetness. Peel and stick Disney princess decals and princess appliques would serve to accent the walls further. She should love the fanciful decor as you can place these around the light switches or on her bedroom door. These can also be reused if you want to apply them on other surfaces, by simply peeling them off and reapplying them.
Display a collection of stuffed animals on the shelves in her room. But if shelves are too expensive for you right now, you might want to go for an inexpensive large pet net that is easy to attach onto hooks that you anchor into the corners of her walls.

One of the places you hit after a busy day is your bedroom. This room can be a sanctuary to many people after a very stressful day. You need to make sure that the decor makes for a relaxing area where you can kick back and unwind. So what color and types of furniture you have in this room will set the mood and make the room perfect for you.
Most important to this room is the bed, it’s where you will sleep and if you’re not comfortable it will be noticed in your everyday mood. The bed is important to make sure that you’re able to sleep and get enough rest each and every night. Don’t get a cheap bed just to save money; you will pay for it in the long run. Get a bed that you can sink into and get all warm and comfortable in.
The size of the bed should leave enough room in your bedroom that you can easily move around. You should never have a bed that takes up too much of the room, it will not be a very comfortable room for you than. Make sure as stated above that the bed is one that is comfortable to sleep in, and one that will not hurt your back.

If your little boy is crazy about football then you can give them an ultimate room makeover. This is something that you can do for a minimal amount and look creative and stylish. Here are some great tips to help.
First, choose a great paint color to instantly transform the room. You could design your color scheme around several options. If your child loves a particular football team, you could paint the walls in that team’s colors. But if your kid just loves the game of football, you could take a different creative approach. Try painting the bottom half of the walls in a turf green to look like the football field. Then paint the upper half bright blue to look like the sky. If you’re really creative, you could add clouds to the sky and lines marking yardage on the turf.
If you know a great artist, you could have a life sized picture of your child’s favorite player added to the walls. You could also paint goal posts on opposite walls to complete the look of a football field. Another great option is to paint the walls to look like a stadium full of people. Then your son can pretend he is scoring the winning touchdown as millions of people cheer him on from the stands.

The bedroom is your own personal space. This sometimes becomes a curse as the tendency to be lax is high. We beautify areas of the house that are used for entertaining guests, such as the living room and dining room, that leaves the bedroom somewhat lacking in aesthetic appeal when in fact, this is where we can decorate freely because it is our own space.
The bedroom is our refuge from the busy life we lead outside. It must follow then that this space should be comforting, relaxing and rejuvenating. But how often do we see bedrooms in disarray? If you see a neat bedroom, try checking under the bed and opening the closet. If no clothes tumble out and no foreign objects are stacked underneath, then it is indeed a clean bedroom.
Set a budget for your bedroom. This will make your selection of decors easier. You don’t have to buy all brand new items either. If you have good pieces, continue using them granted that they fit with your bedroom’s new look. Shop in secondhand stores and flea markets. A lower price tag doesn’t mean poor quality. In fact, you’ll find a lot of unconventional and creative items from such outlets.

If your child is old enough let them help you create their own space. This will give them more pride in their room after it is completed. You may already have a design picked out but if not look around in magazines and online or even in the stores to choose what you are looking to peruse in the rooms decor.
To start your redecorating in the child’s room, try removing the clutter which builds up throughout the years. Keep what they use and discard what they haven’t used in quite a while. If they haven’t used it, they won’t miss it. You may want to do this when your child isn’t around so you don’t see the items which you discarded reappearing after you’ve left.

If you have a smaller than average bedroom it may take some careful planning in order to turn it into an attractive, comfortable space. You need to make sure that it isn’t too heavily decorated and cluttered, with some creativity you can create the ultimate bedroom.
First, you’ll want to toss out any unwanted furniture, or furniture items you do not use much. All these will do is take up space and make your bedroom look and feel cramped. You need to strip your room down to the essentials: A bed, a mirror, a shelf, a wardrobe, a table and a chair.
You’ll want to use slim furniture that doesn’t have a lot of excess decoration on it. Simple and slim furniture will occupy less space as well as giving the room an attractive, organized feel. A study table that can fold up against the wall is a great choice for smaller bedrooms.
You may also want to consider a box bed for extra storage in a small bedroom. A headboard with built-in shelves is an excellent choice in small bedroom design.
Some throw pillows or a decorative rug under the wardrobe will add a lot of character to a small bedroom design without taking up any extra space.
